Recognitions

Summer Internship Grant Program, Northwestern University Summer 2012

  • One of forty students selected to receive a grant to pursue an unpaid summer internship (above), funded by alumni donations
    • Selected because of academic record, career potential, and ambition
  • Required an internship of least eight forty-hour weeks and at least five hours serving as an ambassador to the program
    • Weekly assignments and online discussions with other grant recipients, reflecting on the new experiences
    • Final assignment was a marketing plan to increase alumni donations and student applications to the program
    • Meetings this school year with the program coordinator and other grant recipients revealed that some of my ideas, including a slogan and new website have taken form
  • Hunter Fine Arts Scholarship, Ravenscroft School 2005-2009
    • One scholarship awarded each year; selected based on audition, academic record, faculty interviews and recommendations

  • Enforced housekeeping policy, manage music equipment, rehearsal space reservations and payments
    • In Jones, created new policies that other on-campus residences modeled due to its apparent success
    • In Phi Mu Alpha, currently leading a committee that is preparing the house for summer renovations
